The EndNote manual defines a filter as:
"A filter is selected during the import process to show EndNote exactly how
to interpret the information in your data file (the records downloaded or saved
from an online or CD-ROM database). A filter does this by mapping the information
in each downloaded reference to the corresponding fields in EndNote."
The following sites contain filters that can be downloaded.
NOTE: You must insert the filter files in the correct folder where your copy
of EndNote has been
installed. Typically this will be c:\EndNote\Filters\....
